Mobile credential evaluations tend to move quickly toward concrete technical questions: Who controls the encryption keys? What are the portability options if we need to switch?How does the architecture handle credential security?
What they don’t fully capture is the nature of the commitment an institution is actually making. Mobile credentials aren’t evaluated the way they’re experienced. The evaluation is largely technical. The experience is almost entirely operational.
